Halloween, Hernias, & The Golden Bean Award

Halloween went good this year. If you consider two little witches and a batman hopped up on untold poundages of candy a fantastic Halloween treat. The sugar high may take weeks to subside. All three of them stuffed themselves silly last night. Rheagen stuffed her little belly to the point that it finally found it's limit and she chucked it all up in the wee morning hours. As if that wasn't fun enough Justin had his hernia surgery on Halloween. Do you think that is bad luck to have surgery then? Anyway everything went great. I think the nurse was a little relieved to come and get me so I could take over in the recovery room. Apparently the drugs make him a little chatty and he was asking a billion questions. He's at home walking around like a little old lady. The night before his surgery he was able to mark off an item on his bucket list. Every year after the trunk or treat the ward has a chili cook off and he has always wanted to enter. Justin spent hours in the kitchen cooking up a storm. That's right folks, the people voted and now that lovely award resides in our little humble home. What more can a family ask for!

We were just talking about how Halloween used to be a big party. Getting together with everyone, having dinner and then braving the cold for the sake of the kids.
